Training courses start throughout February, March, April and May as well as the end of August.Positions can be for 3 - 8 months. As a Group Leader/ Instructor you will introduce guests to a number of activities and deliver taster sessions including orienteering, archery, fencing, climbing, quadbiking, abseiling, high ropes courses and initiative exercises. You will also help to organise and participate in our dynamic programme of evening entertainment for our guests, escort them between sessions and take them to mealtimes. No formal qualifications are required for this position - enthusiasm about working in the outdoors with children is all that we ask for. Experience of working or volunteering with young people will be an advantage to your application, but is not essential. This role offers the perfect chance for you to begin your career in the outdoors industry and offers the chance to gain valuable instructor awards as you progress. You’ll need plenty of energy, diplomacy and the ability to relate to young people, as well as the confidence to communicate with adult party leaders (teachers, youth workers etc). If you join us in this role, you will undertake our extensive training programme with ongoing assessment. This will equip you with the confidence, skills and expertise to do your job.
