This placement would suit... Anyone who loves life, the outdoors, isn't afraid of hard work, enjoys being around children and is looking for more from life than the standard 9-5, especially if you are looking to self-finance your Gap Year. Canoeing is at the heart of PGL and we have long recognised this sport as a great way to introduce children to the outdoors. We offer numerous opportunities for qualified paddlers to introduce canoeing and Kayaking to our guests. If you currently hold your British Canoe Union (BCU) Trainee Level 2 Coach Award, you can assist with sessions. If you do not yet hold this qualification but are a competent paddler of BCU 3* standard, we can help you achieve this through our extensive training opportunities. If you are a qualified BCU Level 2 Coach or above, you will be able to lead sessions and take on more senior roles in addition to consolidating your instructional skills, accumulating log book time and working towards higher level qualifications. We run Trainee Level 2 Coach through to Level 3 coach training and assessment courses in the UK and France prior to and during the season. The variety of our centre locations means plenty of opportunity to paddle during your free time, from flat and moving water in the UK, to sea kayaking on the French Med and adrenalin-busting white water in the French Alps and Ardeche.
