	This placement would suit... Any young individual with a passion for travel, meeting new people and working overseas in a fun environment! 'Campower' is the name we give to the support roles at a summer camp. In essence, you are the power behind the camp, without you the camp would not function!! If you don't want to spend your summer working directly with kids but would love to have the unique experience of working at a summer camp, this is the job for you! The most important requirement for this option is that US visa regulations state a Campower worker must be a full-time post-secondary student (English language school courses do not qualify). If you are not currently a student, or do not have a post-secondary student place arranged for you on your return, you are unable to apply for this position - take a look at the Counsellor role instead! Although many positions are in the kitchen, where you could be preparing food for all those hungry campers or washing the dishes, there are plenty of other jobs on offer. Other support roles requiring specific skills are plumbing, electrical, vehicle maintenance or horse/stable care. There are also less skilled positions available including ground staff, camp store, laundry staff or night watch staff. You don't need prior experience for these jobs but many people apply, so get your application in early! (If you have worked as a chef or cook then your chances of a Campower placement are very high indeed!)
